to Saturday 7.00 till 9.30 (reservation required) and Sunday lunch 12.00
till 2.30. Our extensive menu reflects both the time of year and the best
the market has to offer on that day. Expertly prepared by Head Chef Gerry
Dee and his team our food is always guaranteed to excite.
Oscars is a proper restaurant with crisp white linen, professional service
and knowledgeable staff. Dishes are cooked to order using fresh produce
sourced from the best the market can provide each day. Although we have
our favourites, we look forward to guiding you in finding the combination
of wine and food that will truly excite your taste buds. Sunday Lunch
is a very popular event where we serve traditional fare with 2 roasts
available, together with a fish and a vegetarian choice. Our Garden Room
and our Private dining rooms provide the perfect setting for an exclusive
meal or celebration. We offer an extensive selection of wines, supplied
by Hennings Wine Merchants and produced by growers from around the world.
Our Oak Panelled restaurant is the first choice with local societies looking
for a special venue. We can cater for parties of up to 100 guests and
play host to many local diners. We hold a limited number of Wedding Receptions
each year, allowing us to maintain the restaurant's quality but not interfere
with busy regular trade. The Hurtwood offers the perfect setting for your
special day and its backdrop of the beautiful and tranquil village of
Peaslake, together with the expertise available, makes this the most special
